Summer Riding
I do love riding in the summer, it’s just so much nicer. The weather is pleasant, you don’t have to wear lots of layers, and the trails ride so much better.
I’ll admit it’s been far too long since I last went on a proper bike ride, especially off road. But every time I start up again I realise what I’ve been missing out on.
Scenes like these remind me of the joys of cycling, that and the actual joys themselves. The trails were great yesterday when I went out on a nice long ride, rolling really fast, but not so dry that they were kicking up lots of dust.
Something I’ve found about myself as a rider recently: Technically (as in ability) I’m twice the rider I was when I started Uni; Physically (as in fitness) I’m half the rider I was. I guess a lot if this is down to me being either lazy, busy, or injured. Still it’s I’ll be getting back on club rides on Monday, so hopefully it will come back and improve.
Until next time.
